"Returning violence with violence only multiplies violence, adding a deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars . . . darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that, hatred cannot drive out hatred only love can do that."

                                                                                                                   Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015 The Living Peace Wall was installed on its pedestal in downtown Sebastopol !! Now peace activists will receive the honor and respect they deserve, and the cause of peace will have a visible presence in the heart of Sebastopol!  The Inaugural Dedication Ceremony was held Sunday, Oct. 11th, 2015 at the peace wall site across from the town plaza. Over  150 people attended.  We circled and blessed the wall while Tui led us in  the song/dance "Spirit of Peace".    *See photos below.

Each year hereafter, four honorees will be selected, their names inscribed in the granite wall, their biographies added to this web site, and they will be honored at the annual induction ceremony held in mid September.

   * Check here for the exact date each year as we near September.

The four honorees  chosen for 2016 are:  Jimmy Carter, Linda Sartor,  Charles O. Prickett, and Lucy Forest.  Please go to  the page "Annual Honorees" for each of their bios. and "Photo Gallery" for photos of this year's Honoree Induction Ceremony.
